Moringa

Moringa (malunggay) has been used for generations bybreastfeeding moms to support healthy lactation. Moringa is one of nature’s mostversatile and beneficial plants – delivering anti-inflammatory support, promoting healthy digestion, increasing energy, and helping to maintain healthy blood sugar levels and circulation.

Moringa is packed with 90+ vitamins, minerals, vital proteins and amino acids, antioxidants, and omega oils, and is often used to combat malnutrition in other countries- especially among infants and nursing mothers.

Shatavari

Shatavari (wild asparagus) is a plant native to India, where it has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine- especially in regards to women’s health.  This plant has unique properties because it's an adaptogen. Adaptogens are plants that help bring your body back to balance. Based on what you need, this can range from reducing stress to increasing milk supply postpartum.

Shatavari can increase breast milk supply by increasing prolactin (the hormone that stimulates milk production).

Shatavari is also a known phytoestrogen, which acts to regulate estrogen and menstruation. During the postpartum period, hormones are fluctuating, especially while breastfeeding. Shatavari can help bring hormones back into balance.

What can’t oats do? As a galactagogue, they naturally increase your breastmilk supply, but they are also rich in iron and other micronutrients to pick your energy up. As a fiber-rich whole grain, they are slow to digest, which keeps your blood sugar stable.
